News and Events 5-26-17


Dear Friends,

It's here its here! The unofficial start of summer! Hooray! I make it a goal to be done with all my planting by now so that I can finally start to relax and enjoy the great out doors but this year I am going to Colorado to help my son do his planting! He has a much later growing season than we do, heck when we were having our 90 degree days last week he was having snow days! But I love to garden so its fun and he is having a BBQ on Sunday so we will rest that day. What are you all doing for your long weekends?

News and Events 5-19-17




Dear Friends,

So how was everyone's week? Are you ready for this warmer weather now? I for one an not, I wish it could stay in the 70's all the time. I had a bit of excitement in my yard this week, my friend and I were planting in the garden and a male and female cardinal were coming over chattering up a storm. We thought they were complaining about my cat and wouldn't you know a bit later he had stolen a baby bird!! I smacked him till he dropped it and banished him to the house but the little bird fluttered off and I could not find him to try and get him back in his nest. I felt so bad, did not know I was harboring a kidnapper! LOL Does anyone else's cats do stuff like that?

News and Events 5-12-17


Dear Friends,

So how was everyone's week? Anything special going on in your life? I am still spending most of my free time working in my yard. We got my awesome new raised bed filled and planted check it out here. I am so lucky that my son can build things! I need to get all this done before Memorial Day weekend as I am going to Colorado to see my other son then. I keep getting party invites that I have to turn down but thats OK I want go out and help my son with his planting as this is his first year in his own home. He is having a party while we are there and I am excited as I will get to meet all his friends. I posted a party at my house for the 4th of July so it's all good. What about you? Planning any summer parties this year?

Dear Friends,

So who out there loves Star Wars? Like enough that May the 4th is a day you would celebrate if you were the party throwing type? LOL  I love star wars, but not as much as my oldest son Dustin, he loves it so much he has a couple of costumes and goes to big conventions in places like Orlando and London! He also goes to charity events and stuff for kids they get a real kick out it. Click here for a photo of him in one of the costumes he made. What about you? How much do YOU love Star Wars?
