Items are needed!!!
Diane and I have been volunteering at Saint Marks Community Center in Keansburg helping to prepare and serve the breakfast and lunch and organize the food that comes in. They have a wonderful mission statement that you can read here: Mission Statememt
This organization got started after hurricane sandy to feed the community while they put their homes back together, the need still continues as many still do not have homes yet. Besides serving breakfast and lunch 7 days a week they are also a distribution spot for USDA food that comes in for families still in need, some who are still living in shelters or even their cars! There is such a great need and they continue to find ways to supplement the donations to keep the center running and the people fed.
So on October 10th they are going to have a rummage sale to help raise some very needed funds for the center. But they need donated items to sell!
Please remember that ALL items MUST be in NEW or GENTLY USED condition. NO rips, stains, tear, wear and/or bugs! We ask also that all electronics be in working condition.
St. Mark's will be featuring a boutique for all fine items.

You can take things there directly or you can bring things to me and I will take them over. Since I am not working right now I have more time so its not a problem so long as it will fit in my car. Bring them to my house or to an event but please do think of this need when cleaning our your closets and garages. Household items and knick knacks are especially needed!
We also need baked goods to sell the day of so if you like to bake please feel free to do so and bring it over to the center the night before or the day of!
